If you ask me, Yes started progressive metal. They aren't really a metal band, but sometimes they come damn close.And they also started the "hey, look how amazingly talented we are" movement.

my favourite keyboardists would have to be rudess from dream theater and warman from bodom and warmen. Though that could just be cause im a metal head and both those bands are so fucking awesome. However wakeman is fast becoming one of my fave keyboardists. I can see why rudess cited him as a main influence

He's sloppier because his right hand is fucked up because of some nasty tendinitis he suffered from back in 1993.

humm... so sing his 86 solo album from himi play key too and know some muuuch dream theater songs and the composision of wakeman is very higher than rudess... play is easy, create song no =)
