no magnetism whatsoever. Sulfur Hexafluoride is heavier than the air in the boat, and the tinfoil which contains the air sits on top of the SF6, Like a boat on water. When the cup is dipped into the SF6, it fills up, like what happens with water. It is then poured into the boat. The SF6 displaces the air in the boat, and seeing as it heavier, the boat becomes less bouyant and sinks, same as what would happen if you filled a boat with water.
