I've heard he stands up so much because as a kid he played on his dad's kit a lot and couldn't reach the pedals. Instead of leaving them out, he just played standing up. His showmanship is surpassed only by his incredible skill in my opinion.

haha. if youre into it enough you will naturally stand up. chill out. not all musicians have to play their instruments exactly how you're "supposed" to. look at him! he's amazing!

Stands up too much? He has more showmanship in his left pinky than most bands. Just be happy he's not playing for some crap prog rock band and you can still see him at local venues and what not.
