BubbaFart, be very careful of overgeneralizing. There are many types of musical compositions which are NOT songs. Symphonies, string quartets, piano sonatas, concertos, preludes, fugues, etudes, etc. are instrumental compositions which are NOT "songs." Technically an aria is not a "song" either, but I can see your point. However, those other genres of music would be very incorrectly classified as songs. I speak as a doctoral candidate in music.

lol, I think it was actually filmed by the opera company! I don't think it was meant to be released or anything - it's just a theater archival copy. But I agree - it is pretty bad.
