That's what disappoints me with spoiled fans.they can put Daft Punk on a pedestal for doing what they do.Yet the same people turn around and insult black artist who have been DJing and making House music and samples for years! Calling them talentless for not playing an instrument, when they don't even know that!DP doesn't play an instrument and its now "Cool"?

So true!Alot of mainstream artists use samples,or are influenced by other bands. So...who cares if they're not original...they make music for the love it, not the money...& they sound pretty bad ass doing so.

I like daft punk also, but have you realized... they only really became internationally popular the moment they started using other artists songs? They are like the weird al of house music. Kind of sad when you think about it.

Do people not realize that's how most beats are made up? Sampling is nothing new and its not like Daft Punk is not the only band to sample. Besides they pay for the rights and give credit where credit is due. Sampling isn't just as easy as 'stealing a beat' anyway as one needs to keep in time and find beats in the same key.
