It kind of creeps me out how happy he (the Nazi kid) is when he's singing...

Very true. I never did trust spooks. The problem with these "intelligence" agencies is, we got too damn many. They all see a slightly different picture. That would be confusing for the brightest of people, let alone George Bush. MOPP gear sucked! It's 125 degrees in the shade, and we're wearing hermetically sealed suits. I had to deal w/ so many cases of trench foot, 'cuz we were ordered to leave our boots on at all times.

I always hated MOPP gear. Having to use it in the desert was hell. I agree, concentrating on Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran would be a much wiser policy. However I'm tired of hearing all this "Bush lied" horseshit. The CIA, NSA, British MI6, Russian FSB and Egytian intelligence ALL thought Iraq had WMD's. However, I don't believe we should have gone to war right then. Of course hindisght is 20/20
NJHCRevEdge (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Well, I remember when they passed the word for us to stow our MOPP gear. The realization hit all of us that there were no WMDs. That was the 1st time I started thinking that maybe we aren't the good guys. The US and UK have no business in Iraq, our forces should be concentrating on Afghanistan and Pakistan, Where Bin Laden is hiding. Of course, both of us know, the policy makers never ask us for our opinions, they just expect us to pay for their mistakes.

I did a tour in 04' in Basra, not fun at all. I'm not sure about Unhinged Bible thumper / Warmonger that seems a bit far fetched. We could just as easily call the other ticket the "I lied about my record and my motives" ticket. Besides if Obama yanks us out of Iraq too early, we will end up having to go back in and costing us a lot more casualties than staying there another year or two. Besides his naive view on foreign policy will cost us more casualties in the long run.
NJHCRevEdge (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You make a valid point. However, think of what the alternative was, the Warmonger/ Unhinged Bible Thumper ticket. I was a Corpsman attached to the 1st Marines in 04. I was in Iraq, got wounded there, saw good friends die there, for what? So Haliburton and Blackwater have something to do? That's why I voted for Obama, to end the war in Iraq.
