Mental sickness also was pretty much the reason why last year they shot the wild bear "Bruno". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B... public was angry and sad about this action. Once again there have not been enough discussions by experts to find out what is wrong and what is right.

Which isn't possible any longer, really. The bear has been raised by humans, and although has retained instincts from birth, wouldn't survive by himself out in the wild.He would be happiest where he is now. And RIP Mr. Dorflein.

Maybe nature should have decide Knut fate. But I do feel that is great that Knut is alive. For those who feel that it's not right that Knut is in a zoo I do agree. But you also need to remember it is us humans that is destroying the planet through global warming and it our duty to help save any species. The challenge should be trying to get Knut back into the wild.
