personally, the first music i ever heard was bob marley. i love his style, lyrics and music. recently i have been getting into blues and rock and i have to say both artists are very good. both songs are excellent. we shouldnt be arguing who is better. they wouldnt want us to argue about that, but to only enjoy the music, cuz in the end they make music because they love it and we should learn to love all music... except country

Eric is the man. But i doubt he would like us saying that hes better or worse then Bob Marley. Did u all know he was, and maybe still is really self conscious about his playing and singing. There both great. End of story.

Here's the story of I Shot The SheriffWritten and recorded in 1973 by Bob Marley In 1974 while rehearsing for his 461 Ocean Blvd Album Eric Clapton hears it He records it for the album but doesn't like the way it turns out (the rhythm isn't quite right) It is released and reaches #1.Eric has been playing it since in concert always changing it a bit, but always with an extended ending solo.Bob Marley was exrtremely grateful. Reggae was being heard and royalties were coming in.

See this; some one always come on and spoil our conversation. No one mentioned race until this homo sapien came on. Are we to say if you are a nigger you are no good? My God what a world we live in. Now if we were to take this along a race line, the conversation would be real long and boring; for who created all the genres? HA HA!!!

Trust me I know a lot. I never said who was better than the other, actually I love Eric's playing, I am just saying it's no good to say Eric is the guitar God. Every one will have their strengths. Eddie of the Van Halen group is a great guitarist also, you must agree with that.
