that tornado is taken from the lvl. 2 shop..you use it for mana increase..and before using the serpent ward..you have to activate the eules first..then serpent ward..then shackles him to death..that's how i do it..:P..if the hero doesn't die..use forked lighting or if u have lots of gold..buy a dagon..

For Ward Trapping: Do you have to click the enemy hero directly? Because I I tried it and it didn't work this way (or maybe I just missed my click)...Rhasta rocks :) However very slow and very vulnerable throughout the whole game.
