What hurts...: Golf Elbow.How you hurt it...: Working with hand tools and playing golf.When you hurt it...: About three years ago.Your pain level (1 is low, 10 is high pain): 4 two days after a round of golf.Your age and overall health...: 71 and in a very good health.Any other information you feel is relevant...: I had some treatment a while ago.YOUR INJURY COULD BE...Golfers Elbow.REHAB YOUR INJURY BY...Icing: 15 minutes for 2 to 3 times per day, with at least one hour in-between.Massage: Massage straight down and across the tendons that are sore in your elbow area. Use lotion to reduce 'sticking' on your skin.Stretching: Straighten your elbow and pull your hand straight down. Hold the stretch for 15 seconds and release - do this 3 times. Go to the point of pain and not beyond - more is not necessarily better.Nerve Glide: With your arm straight, go out and back with your wrist extended and your fingers pointed back. Raise your arm up until you feel the nerve stretch up your arm, then lower your arm. Pump your arm up into the pain and then down out of the pain, about 10 to 15 times. Yes, Compression will help as well. As far as the elbow goes the nerves are not very deep so make sure you do not apply the compression very tight. No numbness or tingling should be experienced at any time with use of compression.Be well, Kristin
