In 1976, the GOP had just nominated Gerald Ford for the Presidency. The GOP delegates enthusiastically chanted until Ronald Reagan (who had just narrowly lost) came to the dais and gave an impromptu speech...I am posting this because I am getting tired of hearing all of the GOP people belly-aching about their predicament.It's time to put things into perspective, and it's also time to man up, people!

That's actually quite finite in vision.Yes, Carter received a terrible economy but his policies made it far worse. Reagan brought us out of that.Two words. Tax cuts.When you cut the taxes, there's more value remaining in the economy to be spent, re-spent, and spent again. Carter on the other hand went out of his way to control the economy with pricing mandates and rationing.The market rations. Centrally planned economies cannot do this more efficiently than freedom.

i cant disagree with the Palin thing but we havent seen the last of her. thats for sure. those liberals are so scared of her. i didnt know that about Newt but i do remember something like that now that u bring it up. We all have skeletons. its just being bale to overcome the craziness. and i love ur pic by the way

If Reagan got the nomination and went on to win the presidency he would have inherited what Carter did, an inflationary stagnating economy that most likely would have lead to him losing in 1980 to Ted Kennedy. Then we would have had, as we are now having with Obama, a new new deal.

disagree...Sara Palin , not her fault, but being on a losing ticket and getting trashed by the liberal crap media has tarnished her image to a lot of dumb Americans.As for Newt, he dumped his first wife who was ill.....and you know the rest of the storyI sound like Paul Harvey...but Newt has too much baggage.
