This song is horrid. By the way, Old Folks at Home is still our state song, but this is our anthem. Nonsense all, I say. I certainly, as a Floridian, don't want to be identified with this trite whitewash.

This is NOT the official state song!The legislature will vote on whether to make it the official song or not.This is such a piece of garbage compared to Old Folks at Home. It's a little dated, but it's tradition, and it's a good melody. Plus, with all the geriactrics moving in to retire, it fits well with modern times! |
