There's something beautiful about a death like that, though. I mean, he's bound to die sometime, and the one thing he wanted most in the world was gone (as far as he knew). At least his death would mean something, and he'd die feeling something as powerful as that. I'm not saying that I would do the same thing in his situation, but I see the mindset. And regardless, it's a beautifully done scene. I love Wes Anderson.

Another perfect example of the cinematic brillance we call Wes Anderson. I love this guy! This scene and the 'discarding the baggage' scene from The Darjeeling LTD are etched on my mind. The part where Chas asks Richie about his suicide note (not included in this vid) is hilarious.
