lol its the judges fault for using only easy things, the trainer probably taught the dog every phrase from 1-10 (would still take a lot of work though)

The dog doesn't do the math; math doesn't even come into the picture. It's just trained to know how many times to tap for each phrase. It doesn't know what 3 + 3 is... just was trained specifically to tap that many times when someone says "three plus three". The dog doesn't even know the number 6, doesn't really count the taps the way you're thinking. It just knows from muscle memory what to do.
