faster way to lvl up is get glitch rushed to hell diablo and lvl in chaos sanctuary u shud get lvl 1 - 70 easily in an hour...or again get glitch rushed to act 5 hell and join an uber tristram lvling game u get lvl 1 - 80 in about 30 minutes... myself, i enjoy the beginning of the game and lvlin up slowly carefully gathering up all chipped gems for my mercs bow and 20 poison damage jewels for her equip :)

The Old Battlenet is free but Battlenet 2.0 might not be, blizzard considers region to region microtransactions like Australia might pay but some parts of Asia might not, this is not true of course thats just an example.
