That's supposed to be the parents responsobility, but a lot of parents of today leave the upbringing part to school teachers and TV and then wonder why their children grow up to become such a mess.

But actually religion(being modified over time) should be looked at for the morals it teaches. Not for choosing Gods, and it isn't meant to teach you how to live, it just teaches you right from wrong and how to live a better life.
