is it a bad idea to workout your triceps after working out your chest?

incline db press - make sure arms are perpendicular to ground and your back is not curled up but stuck to the bench at all times.

I'm a beginner to all this and I have one very important question. As a beginner, a month of experience, should I take it slow and work with weights that will give me the feel for form and identifying my body. Or begin with weights that force me to do only small reps and promote fast improvement? As I say, it's all very new to me. No sport it like lifting.

no no no no no dont do that that is far too dangerous to do that.quite simply use one dumbell of the weight you are lifting and after chest or pectorial exercises add in one more set for a single arm to isolate the muscle.the last thing you want to do is solely one arm so do your normal workout and finish with one or two one armed sets for the smaller pectorialis.hope that helps!!

Try both - The dumbell press is no doubt a better excercise personally - But who says you need to do one or the other - Mix it up, 6 weeks bar, break for 2 weeks, then dumbell press for the following 6 weeks or so. |
