I believe when you live inside your box, it's very hard to empathize fully with the rest of the world and realize that what you are upset about is trivial, but she is obviously having fun expressing herself, which is cool! Let her do her thing!

Ok, Cyberpunk, I agree with you when you say that Amy Lee has it way better then most people will EVER have it. The lyrical content of her music is trivial in comparison to the horrors that go on in this world. However, I think she is a good musician and perhaps she is aware of the suffering going on in the world, yet cannot bring herself to overcome her own which may seem silly in comparison to say, the starving AID-ridden children of this world.

I watched an interview about what Lithium is about. Amy said that Lithium equals happiness and that it's seeing the happiness in a negative way but trying to see if she could let it go.

Complaining is like fighting. Every now and then it's good to do it. My BF and I will fight and get everything out in the open, then push through it. If your life sucks, then you may complain and be sad, so long as in the end you manage to push through it. Simple.
