I used to have one of these consoles. The TTs ran slow. I had to get rid of them because I could not find someone to repair them in Texas.

Just bought a pair of Citronic PD-45 decks! WFT, I REPEAT W...T...F! These decks are amazing! It's not like i have nothing to compare them to either, i used to use TTX-1's till one of them broke (thanks Numark). 4.5kg torque, 10,20,50% pitch range, adj start & break, 33,45,78 rpm & reverse! £430 a pair! I'm using them for scratching and they out perform technics hands down. If your after new decks don't be a technics snob get these things, they also look fine as hell!!

I wouldnt say citronic is that shit! the quality did drop for a while but now its building good stuff again.... better than lot of big brands out there.... Like the PD45... thats one of the best turntable i've came across after technics. Even their cd player now is a lot better build than PIONEER!!! And they using a lot better components. Its not as good as when it was building in England but now its up their again. Not the best but better than a lot of popular brands!

Not familiar with the citron equipment being a yank, but mixed on belts in the past, it sux, but one gets used to dodgy gear, just like i did. Fortunately since i have technics1210's nowdays, i'm in heaven. I love that record in your set (don't stop-female voice, ravers-male voice), i love that style of early 1990s hardcore breakbeat and the house.worked on belt drive/no pitch control..used to wear my hand out..pitching up slowing down..by hand..whew..

great mate citronic was great stuff i still use mine its a little older (thames 2) better than what i had to use new years eve a home built maplin console 1 deck went backwards and the other had some nice mains hum so in the end i gave up and used my laptop

skylinenos100, i disagree that all Citronic gear breaks. The original, UK made gear was built to last and wasn't cheap. Its only since citronic were bought out by skytronic and manufacture has moved abroad that the price and quality has dropped. I still use three PPX900 amps from the 80's, they're built like a tank and have never given any trouble.

Spot on mate!! I still got my old Tamar though i dont use it any more. Was the dogs b*@!$cks in its day, i seem to remember mine was about £1200 back in 1986.
