Good stuff, Grant wouldve made an excellent Bond, just a shame he would only insist on doing 1 film.

Cary Grant being British avoided military service by becoming a us citizen defusing scandal in UK....hardly noble.Though in fairness he did give all his salaries to British war charities and ALLEDGEDLY working with British intelligence...i see this as tokenism though.

Oh, I am so sorry for making ONE spelling mistake! Cary Grant is a hypocritE in the same way that his good friend John Wayne was - both men aggressively avoided military service during World War II, but supported the Vietnam War and took a dim view of student protestors and the race riots.

And I reiterate: it seems to me as though you are not strongly educated in the field of acting or film because of what you are basing your critique of Grant off of. Also, I am confused: how is Grant and "Republican hypocrite" (notice "hypocrite" is spelled with an "E" at the end) if he supported Republican leaders and Republican ideals?

There's nothing wrong with not wanting to go to war (and I don't believe you have your facts right on Grant's "dodging"). There's nothing wrong with being Republican - again, Americans have the freedom to make those choices. Why was he just a one-note actor? And saying "nobody would take his awful fake acting...seriously" is wrong because I and many others do. And how are his movies dated when he worked with the likes of Hitchcock?
ObamaRules4Ever (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Cary Grant dodged the draft in World War II (in Britain as well as in America) and yet the Republican hypocrit supported Nixon, Reagan and the Vietnam War 100%. He was just a one-note actor and nobody would take his awful fake acting and dated movies seriously in any other time or era.

and my belief as a free American, allowed to be entitled to her thoughts, is that you have not seen enough Cary Grant movies or understand the art of acting enough to make an educated decision.
chambml06 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
in critiquing a person's ability to act, their personal lives should not come into accordance on the judgement of their talent. and to be an America is the freedom to believe what you want to believe and if Cary Grant supported the Vietnam Way, so what? it was his choice as a free American to do so. so yes, you are allowed to believe Cary Grant is an awful actor but judge him on his ability and not on his personal life.

i absolutely cannot believe your blatant hypocrisy. you are referring to Cary Grant as a homosexual out of spite when your YouTube name is ObamaRules4Ever. was not Barack Obama's election as President of the United States a wonderful sign of the movement towards intolerance of racism in America? and yet your spiteful reference of Cary Grant as a homosexual is racist.
