Think about it...Blizzard is howling outside. Instead of opening 1 door half way and jumping out closing the door behind....BOTH doors (front and rear) are fully open to then slip under a filthy slushy underside of a car, leaving the interior of the car exposed to the snow and wind for a few seconds...then the door closes shut again and the inside of the door is now filled with snow and slush too- from the car underside. See? It's what is called a 'good weather car'.
