(I know I'm going to get flamed for this)Metal isn't necessarily easy to play. But from what I've played it takes more technical skill but less innovation and soul.(I mean there will always be exceptions. There ARE metal bands who are innovative.)But when it comes to the heart and soul of rock,Jimi HendrixStevie Ray John, Paul, George, RingoWayne CoyneJohnny F.I love Brian Posehn and old metal is good. But, I'll listen to Coldplay before any shitty metal

Stop acting like a hard ass. The riff was good, just because you can play it means crap. I can play every part of that song as well, Ian is still a better guitarist than you. And me for that matter. The song was a joke, through and through, and for something that obviously was treated as a joke, it's a bad ass guitar part.

Nah, I play guitar, and I'm not really that great, but I can play all that shit. It's just lots of tremolo picking and simple double tapping. And the breakdowns are all chug-chug. Good breakdowns from oldschool hardcore and crossover thrash bands had groove to them.

on the surface metalcore is a decent genre. It used to be innovative, but now most of those metalcore bands look alike and sound alike, as you say they try too hard to look and sound like one of those tight pants wearing bands. |
