yay for self - love, India! If you dont like yourself, how can u expect others to like u?! We're all so individual and unique- let's celebrate diversity. Private party anyone?

I wonder if India Arie, would sing about a guy, who was about 4 shades darker then her?

It's sad to me that if this song simply changed to "White Skin" and used white references instead people would probably be up in arms about how this song was racist and all about white supremacy. But since this is an ode to brown skin, it's fine. That said I actually think this song and it's message is quite beautiful, moreso just saying it's a shame that I can't be proud of being white or I'm a racist. Kinda sad how that works.

ik vindt de text vd song te mooi, klinkt als een verhaal wat een ieder voorzich kan nemem op de gewenste manier, ik voel hem diep, maar same time makes me feel horney 2 haha....

This is what a true Nubian woman is like. Nuff love and respect to my sister India Arie. Keep it up so that the younger generation will follow in path.

If you like black music than listen Lizz Fields. It is hard to find her but it's worth it.And about Paulina Lenda and India You definately cannot compare those voices because they are diferent but also great I think. India has this black hoarsness and Paulina has low strong voice. They are both good:)peace
