Aikido - KOTEGAESHI

The aikido technique kotegaeshi on some of the most common attack forms, by aikido instructor Stefan Stenudd, 6 dan Aikikai. The attacker with the smooth ukemi is Mathias Hultman, 3 dan. The technique is done in both omote and ura (many aikido styles don't divide kotegaeshi into omote and ura).More about kotegaeshi on my website: http://www.stenudd.com/aikido/... is my aikido book: http://www.stenudd.com/aikido/...

It looks very nice but it's completely impractical in self-defense.

Well performed kote gaeshi omote movements are rare on youtube. Everything you can find online is ura. As always, flawless execution, thank you Stenudd sensei.

Stefan Sensei's videos are the best Aikido learning tools on the web. Period. Most Grateful.

Great technique, very painful technique. This technique ultimately made me leave the dojo. I returned after a time a new person. As an uke the first time around I began mastering all the falls; rollouts, breakfall, backfalls. One of the newer me's on the mat, breathes more, channeling my chi into the throw. My sensei always reminds us not to look 4 the floor, because its coming. Or proper way 2 rollout. How our arm is only gonna be there 4 a sec, so make it strong. This video will quench thirst
