that is a style of jujutsu get "public" by takeda sokaku(the master of M.Ueshiba)during 19th century.but i dont know if it could be called the father of the aikido

i don't think so. sokaku was brilliant and passed on his techniques to a number of students including ueshiba.techniques aren't bogus and this is just training demo. a lot of jijutsu ryo's have very formal demonstration forms and formal training forms.

Apparently he trained under Tokimune Takeda also so what Kato does probably isn't any better. If that clip was as bad as this spectacle I wouldn't care who is the "legitimate successor" and just assume Sokaku Takeda did not pass on his legendary skills to anybody (just like Morihei Ueshiba) and that his art died with him.

So ridiculously fake! To bad no clip of Shigemitsu Kato is on Utube, I would be curious to see if his techniques are as bogus as this in order to help clear up the controversy about who is the legtitmate successor of Daito ryu.
