Yes, and not just a single click either. The Xhosa language is spoken by about a fifth of South Africans, and the word itself begins with one of 15 discrete click consonants that the language uses. It's very difficult for those who didn't grow up with the language to distinguish the various clicks, and one of the purposes of the click songs (Ms. Makeba recorded two) is to teach children.
