actually, england wasn't losing, since we won the battle of britain and were in it 3 years before the Americans were. Were we lsoing at that point? no. America were only in it to get back at Japan.

Market Garden wasn't actually a bad plan in principal and the effect can be just as easily traced to the US Airborne troops who failed to capture there objectives particularly Nijmegen.D-Day - more British and Commonenwealth troops landed on the first day then American's, If the US had got more tanks ashore it would have been like everyone else. The Bulge was in the American sector you seriously expected British troops to do most of the fighting in an American sector... lazy much?.

Furthermore you arrogant fuck, how do you know that 20 million soldiers statistic is real? In a communist country they have something called the ministry of information, and they bend all the facts on the casualty count of WWII fuck Russia and Fuck you.

Dave, there is a difference between incompetence (Montgomery) and maliciousness (Stalin). I think any historian (including myself, I have a degree in American history from UC Davis) would agree that there is a difference between liquifying the Kulaks and fighting a war. Also, how do you explain Stalin systemically executing his officers and the polish officers during the early 1940s? I am just tired of dumb fucking assholes like you who don't know the difference between shit and shinola.

To Iamlegend145, where did you study your history. Yes you have ti give credit to the USSR. they lost 20 million people but to rand England ahead of America that is ridiculous if it wasnt for lend lease and Roosevelt's shoot on sight policy, England would have lost. Montgomery was a total Idiot look at Market Garden, while the American Army fought the worst of the fight Battle of the bulge, The Brittish sat drinking their tea. Who got the tough beach on D-Day? It sure wasn't gold sword or Juno

you're right, the russians played a huge contribution. If you ask me, the most influential countries in the wat were the UK and Russia. America came in late and practically weren't in it since they got invaded.
