I don't know if you are being serious or not. We've needed humor through out the ages for a few reasons. First, most of the world hates us and tries to kick us out. If you cannot laugh under those conditions, then you roll up and die. Two, we are a very literate people. Three, we are extremely self deprecating. Four, our peeps flourish in entertainment because it is portable. As for Nobels, we are among the best educated groups in the world. Again, academia is portable and noble as well. |
