OMG....fair match up??? NO WAY. That little dude comes in at a mean buck-twenty while the other guy is over 200 lbs. WEAK match up. Stupid actually.

I'd imagine it varies from person to person. But the TKD practitioners I know kick incredibly hard.I'd say that TKD's downside isn't it's power as much as it is it's theatricality. But any smart TKD practioner can compensate for that. If you can tornado roundhouse kick at head level, it shouldn't be too hard to adjust to working more conservative kicks in a real fight.

Some pedigree martial artists are so cocky. They come into mixed competitions thinking "I don't need to learn how to grapple, (Or strike, as the case may be) I'm SO good I won't even need to!"It's embarassing. This guy is probably fairly profficient with Taekwondo but it's clear he didn't even bother to train in any grappling before signing up for this event. O_o

So many times the heads come together when this type of slam is utilised, technically a foul, but they are a crowd pleaser and lets face it, it's their money that runs the show.

probly sim spinal injury there, but thats the weak point to tkd. you just have to get in on them and if all they do is tkd then there done

Maybe if he wasn't too busy trying to look cool and threw a kick instead of jumping over the guy's head, this wouldn't have happened.

did he get paralyzed or something? because when he was squirming on the floor i think thats just the muscle contracting, not him moving it...or am i wrong?
