To anybody fearing Root Canal - don't!! I had root canal done today for the first time, and did not feel a thing; i've felt more during a filling, and i was told by my dentist that i still had live nerves in two canals.This video shows exactly how a root canal will be. The only downside, is the length of time you need to keep your jaw open for.

basicly they go in the gum at roughly the angle of your tooth and release the numbing stuff around the bottem near the nerves , if u cant handle the pinch from the needle most dentist will be happy to apply a numbing past to your gum first , but then again that taste like crap lol.

yeah, mine was good to but just take along your ipod to drown out all the sound. If you close your eyes to you forget where you are.

It really hurts me! lol My jaw will not open fully for about a week afterwards. A dentist explained to me (something like this) that they go in with the needle until they touch your BONE then back off and go in at a 45 degree angle to your bone or something? Someone correct me here. How do they do the numbing shot exactly?

it's just a pinch, at least that's how it felt to me, but what sucks about it is that it made me want to throw up so bad. ugh!

Is this procedure applies to all teeth? I mean, does this only apply to molars? I'm going to visit my dentist tomorrow for such a horrible pain in my incisor, I was thinking if I could get root canal coz' I want to save my tooth.

mine didnt hurt at all. it took a long time and the sound of everything got a little annoying too! :) |
