There are many museums and galleries throughout Rome. Rome itself is considered the greatest open air museum in Europe; however the museums that are contained in buildings are also worth a visit. There are many hotels throughout Rome. Bed and breakfasts are a relatively new addition to holiday accommodation options in Rome, but they are becoming more popular. Hostels and dormitories are among the cheapest accommodations options in Rome. For a bit more privacy and space, you should consider a rental apartment. These come in many sizes and prices, including luxury villas. If you are looking for something unique to Rome, you can stay in a Catholic convent. These often open their doors to tourists as long as they are prepared to abide by the rules of the convent.
